Inspiration can come from chance encounters or random observations of everyday life. I can look at something and suddenly see it in a different way, providing impetus for a new design direction. At other times, I will base my design on something that I need, or that I feel is missing. My designs appear to be minimal and with clean lines, yet there is always more than meets the eye. Looking deeper, different elements can be discovered. The discovery process creates intrigue and engages the observer and user with the product and its design. Ultimately, my designs are not what they may initially appear to be – they are justnotnormal.
